The enemies make this game too frustrating to play. Stunned looks no different to knocked out. They regain conciousness too quickly. It's annoying with one enemy, death-dealing with two.
Also, things aren't explained properly. Where am I supposed to deliver cakes? (I discovered it's just part of the story progression) How do I put the egg in the fridge? What do the feathers and coins do? Why does it make a noise when I attempt a double-jump that doesn't exist?
Apart from that, it's a cute game and I'm going to attempt to finish it. I delivered Croc's cake and I'm trying to find my way left.
Okay, so a lot of my problems were part of the game's design. I lucked out mostly. Otherwise, there's no way of knowing how to make deliveries or what to do with certain items. Also, the double-jump is a bit temperemental.
I wonder if one will be able to destroy those brick walls somehow? (I dont mean the reinforced wod blocks, those can be destroyed with the croc upgrade. but I mean the ones like in that last screenshot on this page)
nice speedrun! this was a while ago but thanks for showing me some bugs that can be fixed XD the animation bug and the egg requirement XD i do plan on expanding this game in the future so its nice to have those bugs pop up now lol
Biggest thing I found was when you get double jump ability and reload the game you can't double jump anymore.
Also if you deliver the cake to the frog first you get 10 coins, then when you give it to Pug he'll say you get 33 coins but then it shows 310 on the hud. When you pause in inventory it says 30. Collecting a single coin then puts the counter down to 40.
Finally got around to playing this game. Love the colours, the graphics, the level of difficulty was perfect for me. I would absolutely purchase a full game version of this, without hesitation.
8 feathers and 49 coins, it's a pretty cute game. The characters have unique personalities; Pug's probly my fave lol, a dev(?) so passionate at games that he names one "baby".
I do wanna say, I think the furball is too OP, making the tail attack pretty unnecessary: Furball can be found really early, has a longer range, stuns normal enemies in just 2 hits, can be used while moving without slowing down, and even inherits the Iron Tail's ability to break iron boxes. If the game was ever updated, attacks could use some balancing. Maybe making the furball weaker/the tail attack stronger, maybe the Iron Tail can increase the tail's stun damage, maybe the amount of furballs is limited and has to be replenished, idk the choice is yours.
That said, I am saying this as someone who enjoys combat in games, which is likely not the focus of this one. The other game elements fit well together with each other and make for a great cozy experience. Nice game, and good luck with the game jam.
Also, found a bug in the jail cell lol. After beating Korc, I exited without "baby", then entered again. Couldn't enter Korc's cell, so I furball'd him. Dialogue triggered again lol
what an in dept look on a simple game XD thanks! dont worry, i did love the way things ended here, so ill be updating a full game with these things in mind.

Played in a PC browser, sometimes opening the map freezes the game.

you would need the double jump ability to get there, it is hidden somewhere in the game
the double jump doesnt spawn in where it should be
